packages
To have two packages arrive within a day of each other is just icing on the cake for the hols. The first package being the Harry Potter lego board game!
It is surprisingly fun and quite solid as you can make it your objective to screw others over.
If only real homework involved potions ..
The 2nd package didn't come from some dodgy, French place in Germany which I bought from the UK ..
super packaging but it didn't smell like fried peanuts unfortunately

fun fact
So I don't usually get excited for movies all that much with the last movie I watched being Inception and I didn't even manage to watch that in the cinemas. However what does get me excited is Fast Five but don't get me wrong.
This is the Fast and the Furious series we're talking about.
Where fights can be started over a tuna sandwich and drivers love to be sandwiched under semi-trailers it's a no-brainer that what you're about to watch is not going to stimulate your frontal lobe all that much. With that being said that's exactly why you would go; to see the movie for all it's corny, flashy, one-liner worth knowing exactly what you're getting into and that is why the series is one of my guilty pleasures. I mean come on they use two cars to drag and steal a gigantic safe across town .. how is that not entertaining??
So watch the trailer and get pumped!

Why are they all so expensive .. market street is 800+?? Purchasing GE and FB soon and maybe I can get my family friend to search for GG in America ..
They just look so amazing (especially in person) and I'm going to dedicate myself to either lego or model cars such as ..
They're all so gorgeous and I'm sure if I were to tell you that these pictures are in fact of the actual models then you'd be surprised (act surprised) at how amazingly detailed they are.
However at 200-300 a pop sometimes reaching 500 this is not just a casual hobby either.
Time to decide soon, I'm planning to start one or the other by this mid-semester break.

continuity
So very, very recently I've dug out my old lego sets (think 10+ years), coupled them with some extremely useful instructions provided by brickset and now I've managed to resurrect them all.
Even though their themes aren't exactly coordinated
(love how shifty this guy looks)
what with deep sea explorers fighting giant octopuses next to jar jar running away from droids
and super futuristic mineral explorers
they've all come together and bonded under one purpose: to dominate my desk to oblivion so no study can be done.
